Over ten years in digital media, I’ve made videos about everything from architecture, to copyright law, to France, to video game physics. I seize on topics that should, on paper, be really, really boring. And then I produce banger videos about them.
As a producer and production manager, I value organization. I love my spreadsheets and my lists, and I love making sure everyone I work with has what they need to succeed. Nothing in video production is a solo effort. It happens with good planning, and a good team.
In my years at Polygon, we’ve grown our YouTube channel to over 1M subscribers. I’m proud that this community is incredibly positive and engaged. On basically any video, you can scroll the comments and find people genuinely interested in the subject, and approaching it with generosity. If you’ve been on the internet for one second, you know how special that is.
Since 2022, I’ve led Polygon’s social video program. Alongside a talented and hardworking social video producer, we achieve millions of monthly views across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, and have converted hundreds of thousands of subscribers. We did this with a mix of original videos and adaptations of articles from Polygon.com. I love turning my colleagues’ writing into successful videos. It’s a bit like a puzzle; you have to pull out the right details that will make the story pop in vertical video. It’s fun!
